My first attempt was to cut out the inside of the bee, but it was too thin, and it fell apart when it was cut out. So, I ungrouped the image and set the cut parts into fill and cut the outline out. You can copy and paste more if you would like to cut out more than just one pair at a time. If you do then just highlight and move them around to fit on screen and on your piece of wood.

Once you cut them out carefully slide the earring hook ring though the tiny hole on the top portion and pinch the ring together.

I plan on trying to paint the bee. I will first paint the wood black and then use painters tape to cover the area. I will lower the power setting on the "fill" portion for the project so it will burn away the tape and some of the wood so when it finishes, I will be able to paint that section yellow and now get any paint on the portion I want black. Once the yellow dries I will remove the tape and then add the earring hooks as stated above.
