Information

When having guests, it can be hard to tell who each beverage or table place belongs to

Instruction

1

Step1: Choose your material

Decide if you want to use plywood or acrylic. Acrylic is more durable and inherently waterproof. Plywood can show images requiring engraving with different amounts of darkness.

2

Step2: Create graphics

Decide which graphics you want to use for each coaster. Consider the material you will be using. The graphic in the project photo was generated using Artmind.

I like using people's names in the design and they can keep the coaster or choose a theme and each guest chooses their favorite icon matching the theme.

Step3: Add images to the canvas

Add each image in a circle for your coaster outline. A circle of 100 mm +/- 10mm is a good size.

4

Step4: Process the laser file

Engrave the images and cut the coaster outlines

5

Step5: Coat the finished coasters with spray laquer

Spray lacquer will protect wood coasters from moisture. Acrylic coasters don't require any coating.
