This engraved nature landscape is created using animals and plans from xcs libarary. They are put together in different proportions to create perspective. This kind of landscape is perfect for ilustrating for example book covers or any large enough area. This is also a nice laser learning exercise.
First I tried this engraving on soft genuine letather to see how laser takes all these elements together. The settings are the same for all these elements. Some of the smallest elements sort of burned togetger in other experiments.
I tried this landscape on light material for more visibility. (It is not so visibile on dark leather e.g.)
These elements are all grouped together. When ungrouped it is possible to play with all of the elements, their shapes and sizes. That is what I did in next steps.
This is second try on white PU leather which is thiner and burns more easliy but takes well this engraved landscape. Now this landscape almost looks like a drawing onto a leather.
Scoring is used to create this landscape. When put into a line it can create almost a pattern. Or if objects are arraneged differently then it can be a horizon of animals and plants. Creating a bigger space then baseplate.
