Step1: Description

The modular layer art box can be cut out of most 3mm thick materials and can be cut using fiber, diode and CO2 lasers. Besides some wood, it uses a bit of glue to attach the frame, the paint of your choice and (optional) a 15cm LED strip. To create the image 4 panels are slid in from the top, right now there is a winter and a Halloween version but more are coming soon. Or you could create your own panels using the template that is provided.

Step3: Assembly

I recommend painting the parts before the assembly because it is quite hard to get in some corners after the assembly. During the assembly, some glue can be used to hold pieces in place.

The first step of the assembly is assembling the back panel as shown below, the hole in the back panel is used for the cable of the LED strip so either keep it in the bottom left or right based on your preference.

The bottom edge can be bend and glued in place

Glue the 4 top pieces as shown in the image below

The final step of assembling the frame is to glue the front panel in place. Now is also a good time to stick the 15cm led strip on the surface that is marked in green below.

With the frame finished now it's time to put the panels of your choice in (don't glue these as you won't be able to replace them with new ones). The image below uses the blank template but you can choose one of the sets or create your own!

And you're done! Have fun!

Ps. I would love to see some of your results ;)
