How to make an attractive presentation for a Father's Day gift?

The gift? A bottle and its glasses.

Why not another new personalized caddy?

Yesss ......

Let's go!!!

Step 1: measure glasses and bottle

Glasses: 30 mm

Bottles: 40 mm

plywood board: thickness 3.6 mm

Step 2: Start Xtool software

1. Start Xtool :

2. Rename canvas

3. Can I use the predefined shapes? Unfortunately not, as it's not possible to modify them, including the size of the holes.

4. I then create a 5- or 6-pointed star.

5. I change the size of the star to 250 mm in width and length.

6. position my star at coordinate (0,0)

Don't forget to save your work from time to time!

3

Step3

I add a 40 mm circle to the (105,105) coordinate (the center of the shape).

Then I add 5 or 6 circles for the glasses.

I prepare my support.

I cover my 3 mm plywood board with masking tape.

I use masking tape to protect the wood from laser burns. The result is much better since I started using this technique.

I install the board on the honeycomb.

The board is attached to the honeycomb with xtool magnets.

It is essential that the board is perfectly horizontal on the honeycomb, otherwise the focus of the lazer changes during cutting and the result is not optimal. Check !!!

I check the focus of the lazer using the adjustment bracket.

I lower the adjustment bracket and then fix the head on the other side.

But first a little "Farming" to check the position on the board.

Also check that none of the magnets are in the way of the lazer.
