Information
This box is ideal for the table top game player that wants to keep all of their character pieces, writing materials and even drinker coasters together when they want to head off to vanquish their next foe. Please look for other designs that come together for this project, such as the coaster design and a notebook design.

Step1: Assembling the pieces for the base
Preview

The pieces above have been layed out to help you to make sure that all of the pieces for the base are there.

Adhesives

  1. With a project like this, if you are using wood, i have found that PVA is probably the best
  2. I use masking tape (painters tape) to support the pieces while they are drying.

A special note for the laying out of the pieces.

  1. I make sure that the cut finger holes line up with one another. This helps to identify the piece and to make sure that you dont accidently try to attach the wrong piece.
  2. The pieces are arranged so that the inner pieces attached to the base first and then work their way out.

Step2: Assembling the internal pieces

  1. Select the two pieces indicated in the image above.
  2. Make sure to snugly join them together as they will need to line up with the base plate in the next step.

  2. Attach the internal wall piece to the base.

Special note

  1. You will need to support the wall with painters tape during assembly
  2. The joint of the supported wall needs to be on the outside, as shown in the 3rd image.

Step6: Verification step

Ensure that the base plate's finger joints are all visible and that the internal walls that you have assembled run paralled to them.

Step7: Adding the external walls

  1. Select the external wall pieces, as indicated in the first image.
  2. Attach the external wall pieces to the base.

Special note

  1. For extra structural strength I would also recommend adding adhesive to the inside face of the external wall. This will provide another surface of adhesion to the overall wall structure.
  2. The outside walls would probably benefit from support with painters tape while drying.

Step8: Assembling the pieces for the lid

  1. Select all of the pieces, as indicated in the first image.
  2. Assemble the top.

Special note

  1. The lid sides and top would probably benefit from support with painters tape while drying.
