Completely handmade! The pendant is made from a regular river stone that can always be found on the bank of any river.
First of all, you need to collect several stones. They can be found on the riverbank. It is preferable to select flat stones that are shaped and sized appropriately for the future pendant.
To create a beautiful product, the stone needs to be processed to give it the smoothness and shape of the future pendant.
I do this using a regular sharpening stone. I simply rub the blank against it to achieve the desired shape.
After rough shaping, the product should be processed with finer-grit sandpaper to give it a smooth finish.
Once the product is ready, mark the spot for the hole for the bail. Then, drill the hole using a diamond drill bit of the required diameter.
I used a diamond bit from a engraving machine.
The final step is engraving.
In the project I attached, there are images with the set engraving parameters. It is essential to invert the colors of the image! After all, we will be engraving on the black surface of the stone.
Above, on the workspace, I provided a couple more drawings for similar engraving.
After engraving, the pendant can be wiped with a cloth dampened with machine oil or treated with liquid wax—this will give the product a beautiful shine, and the engraving will appear more contrasting.
