Week 3 Task - For All Types of Fathers

I only had 3mm basswood sheets to make this project, but you can use any type of wood for it. I would use two different types of wood to make it look better. I had to use two sheets for this project. One sheet is the plaque and the second is the hand that I cut out and glued to the plaque.
The first step I enabled layers C00 and C01 and made sure all other layers were disabled (output and show). This will engrave the words and then cut out the hand. Once done set aside and begin step 2.
Next step I disabled C00 and C01, then made sure to enable C02, C03, and C04.This will engrave the words and make an indent up top to use a nail to hang the project. I set the power as low as I could to get the laser to mark the wood so I would know where to glue the hand to the plaque. Once that is all done the plaque will be cut from the sheet.
Line up the hand to the plaque and make sure you are satisfied with the placement before gluing. Once satisfied with the placement apply glue and use something heavy onto to make sure the glue sets. I hope you enjoyed this, let me know if there is any way to make this project better.
