For our 30 year High School Reunion, I etched names, year of birth, and year of death in the back of some 3x3 mirrors. Then for the display I made a sign honoring them and put tea lights behind each mirror for the light to shine through. I made a welcome sign with the message in adhesive vinyl. I also cut our graduation year out of glitter card stock and tied them to mason jars for table decorations.
Type out all the texts and set them to either cut or etch. The settings I used for etching is power is 30 speed 80 1 pass 140 lines. Please keep in mind all machines are not exact and the settings may vary. I recommend doing tests before the actual project.
Turn the machine on and get your auto measure complete. I did all the mirrors flat, face down, on the baseplate. I used painters tape on the back of my mirrors to keep the text straight. MIRROR THE IMAGES IN CREATIVE SPACE. Do the etching.
Once they are finished clean them up and they are ready to use. Remember to have fun and don’t overthink it.
