Information

Please note that this design is coming from a "free svg files" facebook group, so I cannot be sure about the original author. It was a jpg file, and I created the xcs out of that with making an extra layer for background.

Step1: Cut the design

Cut the design as is, or you can make it bigger or smaller (but please note that I have put a small hole to it, so consider to change that size if you want to resize it).

I suggest to keep all parts together; you'll use everything for placing the small things to the right place.

Step2: Paint the base

I am using sponge to paint these base part; you can use a simple orange color, or make some ombre coloring.

Paint the small things and the main design to black. Here I am using acrylic marker to paint these parts.

Wait until all paintings are completely dried. (it should be a few minutes)

Step4: Glue them together

Use wood glue (the best is which is clear when it's dried, so it won't leave any marks.)

Start with the big design, add glue to everywhere, and place it carefully. Wait a bit until it's dried a bit, and place the ‘helper’ part inside, if you want to make sure, that you put everything exactly in the right place. Then glue the back of the bats and the stars, and place them carefully. I prefer to just mark the last one's place, and remove the helper part first, then add the last bit of design to the ornament.

Step5: Hang it and enjoy :)

Once the glue is dried, add a string to it, and you are ready to hang it. :)

You can use different colors (purple-black is also looks cool!). Share, if you made it :)
