I decided to design some wavy round earrings and added a preety bead to them to give a bit more colour.
I started by using a circle from the shapes panel and copy and pasted, the decided to enlarge 2 of the circles and re-sized them, put one inside the other and combine.
I then grabbed the other circles and placed them inside, lined them up to how I wanted and then got rid of the larger circles.
I then outlined the smaller circles to get the wavy style that I was looking for.
I continued to copy, paste and resize the earring part I wanted to cut along with adding in the oval and circle for cutting holes. Once all the cutting sections were together I combined them together.
I wanted to add the same wavey circles for engraving as well so had done the same as the previous step but changed the setting to engrave.
Once I had placed everything where I wanted I started to set up the settings for the cutting and engraving and changed the xTool settings to suit the 2mm plywood.
After that I sent the earrings off for framing and cutting.
After the earring were finished engraving and cutting, I proceeded to paint them.
At first I painted them a turquoise colour but felt they looked a bit too washed out and then decided to use my acrylic paints instead and that took away from the beads being used. I decided to make another pair and just paint them the red brown colour, they look so much better.
I added a photo of the turquoise colour for you to see for yourself as to why I changed my mind.
I hope you enjoy making these earrings!
