I made an 8x8 engraved mirror for my wife's coffee bar and designed a box for it to sit in. Finally, we added the LEDs to light up the mirror. The Xtool S1 is a beast of a machine.
Step 1:
Cut 3mm Basswood into the following pieces:
2 - face plates & mirror backings
1 - back
1 - mirror inner frame
2 - long sides
2 - short sides
Step 2:
Set mirror on raised blocks off of honeycomb to prevent flashback.
Make sure your image is reversed

Step 3:
While your mirror is engraving start assembly of the box.
With wood glue, glue up the 4 sides around face plate.
Use rubber bands to help with the drying process.
Once faceplate and sides are glued together, glue the mirror inner frame on the back of the face plate.
Step 4:
After mirror is engraved, place mirror into the mirror inner frame. Ensure your glue is completely cured.
Once mirror is placed, insert/glue the mirror back cut out on the back of the mirror.
Step 5:
For the LED effect, add LED lights to the inside of the box. Ensure your plug will exit out of the middle bottom of the frame box.
Step 6:
Glue back cut out to the frame to enclose the box.
Step 7:
After glue has dried, hand sand all the edges and apply stain/paint color of choice for finished look.
