Step1: Cut Your Pieces
Preview

Using your laser, cut out your pieces! This is a 3 layer project.

Layer 1: Use “Canvas 1” in the XCS file to cut the round base and engrave it with the spiderweb pattern.

Layer 2: Use “Canvas 2” in the XCS file to cut the white background for your text and “Canvas 4” to cut the round border. To make it easier to put your project together, “Canvas 2” will also score the top layer items onto this layer.

Layer 3: Use “Canvas 3” in the XCS file to cut the ”Frequent Flyer" text and the witch.

Step2: Add Some Color!

It's time to paint! I used acrylic paint which naturally lets through some of the wood grain and the spiderweb engraving. If you prefer a darker spider web, try painting orange before engraving.

Step3: Glue Your Piece
Preview

It's time to glue your pieces together! If you're making a small ornament like in the photo, I recommend holding each piece with tweezers, dabbing on a very small amount of super glue, and then placing the pieces together.

The score lines should just lightly show through on the white layer, helping ensure perfect placement for the text and witch.

Add ribbon or a picture hanging hook on the back and you're all done!
