Step1: The Design

- Inset a snowflake
- create a diameter and outline of the diameter as shown in the first photo.
- select both diameters and make compound vector
- make a copy of the diameter and paste off to the side
- center align the snowflake and diameter
- click subtract
- bring the diameter over to the snowflake and align center
- stretch out the diameter so that it is overlapping the snowflake at all sides
- select both of them and unite them together
- Add any text you wish and set to engrave
