Upside down heart shaped bookmark
I chose a heart from the shapes panel and sized it up so that I could start adding text and images.
I then thought of what I wanted in the text, my mum loves her murder mystery books so I came up with the words to add, I then changed the font to Pinyon script which I think is the same as palace script.
I loaded a bookworm and needed to erase parts that I didn't need so used the magic wand on the usual xtool settings provided.
I resized and adjusted it to grayscale 120, sharpness 10, saturation 20 and brightness -5.
To set up for engraving, I ignored the heart and the other set of books which I have kept in case you would prefer to use them.
With the text I used xTools setting and added 200 and changed the power to 85 as the previous wasn't strong enough and I wanted more strength when the text was engraved.
With the images, once again I chose xTools settings but changed the DPI to 600, originally had grayscale which wasn't dark enough and changed it back to Jarvis.
I hope my mum loves her bookmark and that you enjoy making it!
I couldn't decide which to go with and then decided to use the book with the magnifying glass due to the wording being mystery.
I adjusted the size to suit and then made adjustments on the colouring for engraving. Grayscale 176, sharpness 50. The first lot of settings I used for this book didn't engrave the lines which you will see in the coloured photo's so had to re adjust so that the lines came out. This has been engraved on both sides of the bookmark.
