2 Compartment Box
Instruction
Two compartment box made from xtool's 6mm walnut plywood with 3mm lip for lid.
Sealed with clear. If using this same walnut plywood do not sand, the veneer is too thin!
Made this for my husband to store his vinyl record cleaning items in.
Cut all pieces, except the lip pieces, on 6mm plywood of your choice, use your specific machine's default cut settings.
Cut the lip pieces on 3mm plywood of your choice, use your specific machine's default cut settings.
Assemble the main box (the four sides and bottom, use a non-staining wood or other glue to keep the pieces secure. Allow to glue to dry.
Glue on the top piece with the hole and allow glue to dry. Fit the flat divider under this piece aligning it square with the edge, and glue in on all four sides.
Assemble the lid, glueing the tabs together. Glue on the lip pieces to the main box. The lip pieces should allow for 6mm of space next to the flat top piece for the lid to fit in properly. A small amount of sanding may be necessary if the fit is too tight.
Clear coat or stain, as desired.
