Cat earrings with engraved design
I loaded my image into creative space and decided I didn't want the tail for the earrings as it would be too much on a stand alone pair of cat earring.
I decided to edit it and just use the setting that come up automatically and then when it got closer to the rear end I enlarged the area so that I could get in there nice and neat.
I used Paintshop pro to put the design on where I wanted to on the cat then erased the areas going over the cat and created a mask and saved as a .png file so that I could add onto the traced area of the cat once the tail was erased.
Once I had everything where I wanted I then needed to change the colour of the pattern to enable engraving.
I opened up the adjustment panel and changed the settings for the sharpness I canged that to 30, saturation 50 and grayscale 210.
Once I was happy with that I did the same for the other cat.
I decided to go with xTools settings for the engrave but changed to Greysacale and changed the DPI to 600 to get a better engrave for the design.
For the cats eyes I changed the settings to power 40 and speed 40 with 1 pass and 100 lines.
I also changed the cutting settings as well for the power to 80 and speed 6.
The reasons why I changed the cut settings was due to using a 2mm plywood so didn't need full power for this reason which prevented a lot of burn on the end product.
