XTool 1/8" MDF (backboard)
XTool 1/8" Faux Rosewood MDF Board (inner circle and outer ring)
XTool 1/8" Walnut Plywood Sheets (inner ring with letter cutouts)

Step1: Cut the backboard

Cut the backboard out of the 1/8" sheet of MDF and set it aside

Step2: Cut the inner ring

Cut the inner ring out of the 1/8 sheet of Maple plywood
Save the inside of the "R", "O", and "D" from the Walnut letter cutouts to use in the Maple letters to fill in the holes.

Step3: Cut the outer ring and the center piece

You can try different woods and engraving settings for darker results.

For easy assembly, coat the MDF backboard with wood glue and then apply the individual pieces starting from the outside and working in. Do not clamp too tight or the glue may squeeze out between the pieces to the surface, depending of course on how much glue you apply. A thin layer that covers the MDF backboard is all you need.
