I made this project with 5 wooden scored and cut airplanes. I Mirrored the airplane parts that needed to be scored on both sides so they could be flipped to the other side and scored. Next all parts were painted then assembled using 20# test fishing line.
The design was created using a vector file in Adobe Illustrator and saved as an SVG. I then used XCS to score and cut the airplane parts. I made 5 airplanes, 5 clouds and 2 interconnecting mobile hangers. I mirrored the part images that needed to be scored so that after the first side was scored I could remove that part and flip it over into the mirrored image space and score the other side.
Next I painted the airplane parts, clouds, and mobile frame with dixie belle silk and metallic silver paint and assembled the airplanes
the final step was to assemble the mobile. I used 20# test fishing line and a basic fish hook knot to assemble the mobile.
The finished project!
