Information

I'm working from home and own my PC so I already have a great setup with monitors. But I like to connect to the work macbook to get more space to organize my windows.
So thats why I created this kind of Laptop stand to create a higher placement for the macbook monitor to make it level with my others.

Step1: Idea

When I work from home I have already a great privat setup thats why I needed a stand that is only helping to have the monitor of the macbook higher, more on same level as my others. Thats why I made this quick and easy design.

  1. Draw a triangle, make sure that the height is fitting for how high the laptop should be lifted. (I meassured by holding in an angle beforehand)
  2. Duplicate Rectangle
  3. Substract a little rectangle piece. Make sure that width is same as your material thickness.
  4. Draw a bigger rectangle and also substrackt the same small piece from step3.
  5. Add cutouts if you like. I used offset path for this but you could also do butterflies or hearts. Whatever you like!

To make it more personalized you could leave the full side pieces and add engraving.
I liked more openly for better airflow for the macbook. But as its not standing on a complete underground I think its def no problem at all.

Step3: Assembly

Just slide all pieces together.

If you wondered why I made the slidings for the middle piece flipped maybe you found out already. If not, its made to have more stability. When doing both on one side its more wobbling with the sliding parts.
