  1. Gather your materials: basswood or cardboard, scrapbook paper, glue, and twine.
  2. Apply Scrapbook Paper: Since I wanted my project to have fall colors, I glued scrapbook paper to my base material (basswood or cardboard, whatever you have).
  3. Drying Time: Let the glue dry completely before moving on to the next step.

  • Open the file in xTool Creative Space, where you'll find three different canvases: one for the pumpkin pieces, one for the base, and the third for the text.
  • Choose Colors: Select your desired colors for each part of the project. I initially had a hard time deciding, so I used a lighter gray for the base and two different shades of orangish scrapbook paper for the pumpkin pieces.
  • Text Color: I chose a darker gray for the text to create a contrast and make it stand out against the pumpkin pieces and the base.
  • NOTE: On the base, I cut out the pumpkin shape and scored the other pieces to serve as a guide for gluing everything straight.

  • Once I had all the pieces cut, I started experimenting with different color combinations to see what I liked best. After deciding on the final look, I glued each piece to the base, and the text on top of the pumpkin, creating my "Hello Fall" sign.
  • Drying Time: Let your project dry completely to ensure everything stays in place.
  • Add Twine: For a special touch, I wrapped some twine around the stem of the pumpkin. It adds a bit of rustic charm to the final look.
