Step1: Determine the best setting for your laser by creating a test engrave grid. I suggest speed between 5 and 20 mm/sec and power between 10 and 100%. This will show you the best option for your machine based on the color and texture you are wanting

Step2: Choose any sized slate item of your choice
Any size slate will work as long as it fits in the engraving area of your machine

Step3: Choose your design image and decide which details you want to enhance

Step4: Select the areas you want to engrave in gold tone and set those set those areas using bluelight to 100 power and 25 mm/sec speed. The rest of the areas that will engrave white should be set to blue-light power 80 and speed 150 mm/sec
