Information

I needed a quick way to accurately place in acrylic blanks to batch nightlights. I mean, who wouldn't? I made two versions, one for dark acrylic that includes a bottom, and another for light or clear acrylic that allows you to use black cardstock or the like to allow engraving with a diode laser.

Step3: To Glue or Not to Glue?

You may choose to glue the jig to another 12x12 piece of stock to provide a solid backing, or, leave it as is for light and clear acrylic, allowing you to easily place black cardstock underneath it.

You can also use the template to cut out black cardstock which will fit nicely into the jig should you choose to glue a backing on it.
