Step1: Design

To create this coater easily is by using a snowflake vector design. I think there is one available in XCS so you could work with tgat ans you need a circle in desired size.

Now you position your middle part of snowflake more to the edges of your circle.

Copy your circle and make sure to place in same position as originally, now it helps to lock this one.

Subtract the snowflake from the original circle. Now you need to do some clean up to be left with the parts that should be engraved.

Unlock saved circle and use this als cut line.

In my file you get both versions the original ans inverted one. This way its also more fun to have more miced costers but in same style for your table decor.

As always red is cut

Green is engrave

This time i tried water spraying the top wood surface to get a result how this would help for the laser cuts. So i tried it and it’s a good way if you dont own air assist addon. It’s not helping for engraving itself you still need to clean afterwards the debris but its gelping with cleaner cuts.
