This Halloween Night LED Light Lamp consists of five layers of plywood, one layer of clear acrylic, and a living hinge border. Just a little hocus pocus made of five steps and let the magic happen! 🧙♀️✨
The first step was creating designs for all sides in Adobe Illustrator. The front side features a sinister witch brewing a potion, the back side has a whimsical tree, and the central part displays ghosts and zombie hands. Two additional layers were also created to separate the outer and back sides from the central one. Once everything was ready, the designs were exported in SVG format for further work in xTool Creative Space.
After importing the designs into xTool Creative Space, all the sides and layers were first cut from 3 mm plywood with settings P: 35 S: 10. Then, the central part was engraved on a 4 mm Clear Acrylic Sheet with settings P: 15 S: 200 and 200 lines per cm.
To create the living hinge of the required length, the circumference of the prepared piece was measured.* The measurements showed 31 cm (12.2 in). The designs from Adobe Illustrator were then exported to SVG format for further use in xTool Creative Space and cut from 1 mm plywood with settings P: 30 S: 35.
*You won’t need to take these measurements yourself, as the file is already prepared for you.
Once all the wooden parts were ready, the next step was painting. For this lamp, black acrylic paint mixed with black glitter was used before applying. A sponge brush was handy for painting the edges, while a roller sponge worked well for larger surfaces.
After the paint dried completely, the final assembly began. First, glue the outer sides to the layers, then attach them to the central acrylic part, creating a five-layer "sandwich". Clear Gorilla Glue and a small spatula were used for evenly distributing the glue on the surfaces. Once the “sandwich” dried slightly, attach the living hinge. Allow the glue to fully cure, and your Halloween LED Light Lamp is ready!
Now you can light up the night with a bewitching glow with our witchy LED lamp! 🧙♀️
