"What does the inukshuk symbolize? The word “inukshuk” means “in the likeness of a human.” For generations, Inuit have been creating these impressive stone markers on the vast Arctic landscape. Inukshuks serve several functions, including guiding travelers, warning of danger, assisting hunters and marking places of reverence."
Step 1) To do this project I hand drew the shapes needed on my Android device with the Sketchbook app. i then transferred the images to my computer. They were then ready to be applied to XCS software.
Step 2) One by one each shape was added to the xcs work area and the Inukshuk statue was shaped, once the statue was formed it was outlined.
Step 3) Once the shape of the statue was outlined a circle was created for an eye hole for hanging. The entire image was highlighted and then copied and pasted to create a second copy of it. Setting were then adjusted in this case all of it were cuts.
Step 4) Once the laser machining had finished a clear plastic was glued across the openings of each piece and sprayed with a fast drying black paint. when the paint was dry the 2 pieces were glue together to give the 2 sided effect. A twine rope was fed through the eye hole for hanging it outside.
