Is there anything more gross or disturbing than bugs in your drink?
I made a made a coaster to avoid this problem - not a fan of that kind of protein supplements in my diet ;)
The coaster is made of 2 layers of 3mm Birch Plywood, with a hole for the straw. Afterwards painted with acrylic paint and coated with a table top varnish to protect the coaster from staining. Food grade off course.

Step1: Score the lines to paint later

Purple layer is for scoring.

Step2: Cut your files

Cut the files according to your machine. I cut mine twice, because I only have the F1 for now!

Step3: Paint the coaster

Paint the graphic. I used thin acrylic markers like posca's but “no name” brand.

Step4: Glue the wood layers together

Glue the 2 wooden layers together. I used wood glue.
Make sure that the holes fit perfectly on top of each other. To be sure, that the straw fits!!

Step5: Apply varnish

Apply the varnish on both sides and let it dry!

Step6: Pour your drink in the glass and enjoy!
