Moons and stars Checker Board

Step 1) This project starts with a lone small 1" square made from the insert button selecting rectangle, This is then copied and pasted 3 times to make a total of 4 of them all the same. They are positioned 1 inch apart and then grouped. Once this is done the new group of 4 are copied ad pasted ans placed below each line with 1 inch offset and this is repeated until you have a total of 4 rows.

Then a new rectangle is brought in and is sized to a square to border the newly made array.

Step 2) Now that all the squares are in place and a larger one as a border the larger one needs to be copied and pasted to create a second on.

Step 3) Now for the game pieces, in this case they will be small circle objects, to start making the 24 needed 1 circle is created and with the array feature 23 more are added.

Step 4) Now to add the Stars and moons that will be placed on each opposite square, Each one for each side is placed in the center of each square. All of the stars and moons will be set to be scored.

Step 5) In this step all the cutting that is needed will be adjusted for the laser machine to do it's thing. Once the laser has finished scoring and cutting all the pieces were removed and placed on a table the exact way it was before it was cut so the grain of the wood could be matched. Once this was complete the main border top piece was removed and a coat of spray adhesive was applied to the underside so the 2 pieces could be glued together. All the remaining square are then stained a dark walnut and also flipped over and they also got a spray of adhesive applied to them as well. Once they were ready each one was placed into their respectful hole to create a checkered pattern.

Step 6) Now that all the stained squares were placed half (12) of the game pieces also got the same dark walnut stain applied to them on both sides. After this was all done it was time to set the game pieces in place and wait for the first game to be played.
