This small Halloween sign glows in the dark and is made with XTOOL glow in the dark acrylic and XTOOL colored MDF material. The best thing about this project is there is nothing to PAINT! It took less than 20 minutes to to cut and about 15 minutes to assemble. I am going to hang it on my front porch so the sun can charge it during the day so it will glow at dark!
1 Sheet of Light Green Glow in the Dark Acrylic 3mm
1 Sheet of Yellow Glow in the Dark Acrylic 3mm
1 Sheet Black MDF 3mm
1 Sheet Purple MDF 3mm
Glue (All Craft Multi Glue Used)
Cut round base (approx 11") out of pale green acrylic and boot top out of yellow acrylic. (Glow in the Dark)
Cut letters out of black MDF and your option for what color you would like boot base to be. I like purple so I used purple for the boot base but the purple only shows during the day while the sun is charging the sign for the bright glow surprise when night falls.
I tried “All Craft” multi glue for the first time on this project because I heard it does well with acrylic, is clear and does not crackle. I was pleased with the results but I could see the glue through the acrylic but it was very minimal and hardly noticeable. My favorite thing about this project was I did not have to paint anything. The XTOOL pre-colored MDF is the way to go!!!
