Information
Anyone can label normal plastic bottles or tumblers. But not everyone can label a glass bottle in such a way that it also looks good!
That's what you'll learn today in this project!
Additionally you will receive some templates for various flowers!

Instruction

Step1: Preparation

The first step is to prepare your glass tumbler. To do this, you will need simple black paint that can be washed off. Apply this to the surface of your tumbler as evenly as possible. Allow the paint to dry briefly and then place the bottle in the rotary module of your laser engraver!

TIP: Use a brush with the softest possible bristles to apply the paint!

Step2: Engraving

Remember that you have to set your Rotary module to the right height. The red laser dot should then be in the centre of your tumbler so that you can measure the exact height. Before you start engraving, use the "Move frame" function to check whether your engraving lands on the black surface!
Then engrave your design (flower) with the settings above!

TIP: I added the file “glass_flowers_collection.xcs” where you will find the 8 shown flowers. Try one of these on your tumbler and add some text!

Step3: Finishing

The final processing of your glass bottle is a fairly simple step: WATER!
You can simply wash off the black colour.  (provided you've used the right colour :D )
What remains is the matt white engraved flower on your glass tumbler! With a black sheet behind it you can see the engraving clearly (see cover picture), but even so the whole thing looks professionally engraved!

Step4: Additional: Engraving the lid

I have a small addition for you: If your glass bottle has a wooden lid like mine, you can also engrave it! I have chosen another flower design for this and then engraved the whole thing with the above settings!

Have fun trying out new things!
