Sharing a cute summer, ice cream themed sign. Signs can always be used around the house, on tiered trays, on a ledge or even scaled to larger/smaller sizes.
When you import the file, be sure to click “No, display it in the original size.” if that pops up.
If you opened the XCS file that comes with this tutorial, all settings are already set-up that I personally use with the D1. *You can use settings you normally use to cut, score or engrave your material or use the settings I added. Keep in mind all wood cuts differently.
If you are using another laser cutter like the M1, S1 or P2, you will need to use your settings.
COLOR CODES:
Depending on your workspace, select and arrange pieces to fit on your work area.
All of my files are color coded and sorted into layers. The color code is in the corner of each file. You can either delete these codes before you start your cut or set them to be ignored.
My files have score lines for easy placement! I always paint all of my pieces before putting them together.
1. When your cut is done, paint or stain each piece. You can use my colors as an example or create your own theme!
2. Use the score lines to place each piece and glue.
3. Use to decorate the house!
