This piece took 2 day's to make, so it's not for the fainted heart. I wanted to make a puzzle, but ended up with this piece lol It's all acrylic except for the backing, which is MDF.
Inserted the image and removed the background around the paws, so i have the paws left over.
Then removed the inside of the paws.
Used the image with the outside and inside of the paw colors removed and clicked on outline and set it to zero.
Inserted a square and place it around the paws. Unlocked the square, so i could make the size i wanted. Then locked the ratio and highlighted over the whole image and grouped it so it couldn't move.
I cut out the squares with the paws in 10 different colors and started placing different colors of the outside paw first. I did put them on an MDF board, so i didn't have to move it again and risking it would fall apart.
Then placing the little pieces of the different colors in each outline of the inner paw. It is time consuming, trying to fit all the pieces in place. So you have to be patient lol
Once all the pieces are together, i placed a big sheet of 3M double sided tape over the whole piece and pushed down on it, so the pieces would stick to the tape. Then cut it to size.
Removed the backing and stuck the whole piece on the MDF board.
Added the peel and stick around the piece as a border.
Placed the whole peel and stick over the paw piece and cut around the edges, so i only had a frame left of the peel and stick.
Then removed the plastic backing little by little and started in 1 corner and stuck it to the MDF till it covered the whole border.
I cut a piece of clear acrylic the size of the paw board and placed the stand offs where i wanted the holes to be. Marked the holes with a pen on both the clear acrylic and the board.
Cut the holes with the P2 and screwed the stand offs in place.
In XCS, i inserted the txt and set the settings to cut. Then placed gold mirror acrylic in the P2 mirror side down and reversed the txt.
Once cut out, i placed it on the clear acrylic and glued it down, with acrylic glue and the piece is done.
P/S I didn't add the txt in the file, so you can put in your own txt.
Hope you like it :-)
