Mix your titanium dioxide powder and alcohol in a 1 to 1 ratio. So if you use 1 teaspoon powder add 1 teaspoon alcohol. I used 91% alcohol.

After cleaning your tile spray a even layer of your mixture over the tile in both directions. Let it dry (about a minute) and repeat until the surface is matte in appearance (2-3 coats). Be careful not to touch the surface of the tile as you will remove the powder.

After sizing your image start the engraving process. The powder is on well enough to use air assist.

Wash completely under water and dry. No harsh chemicals or scrubbing needed!
