I wanted to make a trophy with acrylic, but during the process, I found out that my diode laser couldn't do it very well. so there was some cracking from my laser, but if you have a C02 laser it will work fine.
Instruction

Step1: base
the base for the trophy is 1 in thick, 1.5 in wide, and 6 in long. I cut a slot down the middle of the wood for the acrylic to sit in. I stained it and put on a clear coat, then it was done!

Step2: Acrylic trophy
I cut a piece of acrylic on the chop saw to be 5 in by 6 in. I painted one side of it black to help it to engrave. After I engraved it I cleaned off the paint with Rubbing alcohol. I put it in the base and it was done!
