This multi-layer model plane can make a great wall decoration or be hung using string and the optional extra tail fin included in the file. I used 3mm basswood plywood but any material will work perfectly for this project, just remember the processing parameters given in this how-to will need to be adjusted for other materials.
This model is a multi-layer design with score lines to add extra detail around the window and wings. You can make the airplane larger or smaller but remember to adjust all parts to the same scale to ensure everything fits together correctly.
These are the settings used for cutting and scoring 3mm basswood plywood using the xTool D1 Pro 5w laser.
To assemble this model you will need some wood glue and ideally some small clamps to hold everything together until the glue sets.
Start with the main body of the plane and glue the wigs to the back. Then once these are fully set turn over and glue the propeller spacer and propeller to the front of the plane.
