Step1: Design 1

The first step was making the general shape of the arms of the business card holder. Then, I combined all of the rectangles. Next, I took the arms and added circles on the edges to make them rounded by using the combine feature.

Step2: Design 2

Now I created the base for the business card holder. This consists of two pieces. I copied and pasted the first rectangle, then I took the second one and added holes that would fit the arms of the business card holder.

Step3: Material

For the material, I used basswood, but you can use any material you prefer. If you have a P2, clear acrylic would look good.

Step4: laser Time
Preview

Now it's time to laser cut. Make sure to adjust your settings if you use a different wattage laser; this is an S1 40-watt. Also, remember to change your settings if you change your material. Lastly, don't forget your laser safety glasses.

Step5: Assembly

Now you need to glue your two bottom pieces together. Then, glue your arms into the holes. Once assembled, make sure to let it dry completely, and you should be good to go.

Good news! You're done with your card holder.
