Step1: Materials

This project should be made from 4mm materiel and if made correctly should hold together without using any glue. Although you will need some wood glue for the draw front and handle.

I used 4 pieces of 300x200mm MDF for the first one shown in the pictures but any material can be used for this project, just make sure it is 4mm thick and this design should work perfectly.

Step2: Cutting

The settings listed here are what I use for cutting 4mm wood using the xTool D1 Pro 5w and will need to be adjusted for other lasers.

Remember to use the kerf offset feature to get the best possible fit during assembly. I set this to 0.05 and the pieces fit together perfectly.

There are a total of 18 parts to assemble but all parts of the main frame are unique and can not be joined together in the wrong places.

You should start by assembling the draw, this is the green layer in the file. These parts should slot together tightly and will require a little force to properly assemble.

Next, assemble the main frame of the storage unit.

Once the unit is assembled the draw should slot perfectly into place but you will first want to glue on the front panel and handle.
