      Make your desk a little more fun with this shark themed organiser that can store pens, pencils, erasers or any other small items you might have.

Step1: Designing

I started by designing a simple box with no lid then expanded the front and rear panels by drawing the shark head, tail, and fins.

Next, I added score lines for the body outline and gills and a eye for extra engraving details.

 

You can also add your own custom engraving if you want to.

These setting are for cutting, scoring and engraving MDF wood using the xTool D1 5w laser and will need to be adjusted for other machines.

The assembly process is just like assembling a simple box.

Start by slotting the two short sides into the bottom section.

Once these are in place, the two long sides should simply slot into place and your organiser is complete.

If your material is exactly 4mm thick then glueing shouldn't be required, but glue can be used if any of the joints feel a little too loose.
