This useful project is great to add a place to hang your keys in one of the most convenient places, your fridge. The design files are included, so feel free to customize for your own personal taste.
Using the XCS software, make any customization you want, or run the file as is. In the file there are engraving, score, and cut processing lines. You may need to adjust the settings for your laser.
The settings are for the D1 5W laser. You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.
Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
Next, I cut two pieces of dowel rod at about ¾ of an inch each. I used a tenon saw since it has fine teeth. You can any fine toothed saw, which helps with tea rout.
Next, put just a little bit of glue on the end of the dowel rod pieces. It won't take much at all. The holes in the design are .25 inch to match the dowel rod, but you may need to sand a little if the dowel rod is not exactly .25 in diameter.
Clean up any squeeze out from the glue with a damp cloth or a wet paper towel.
Next, let's add a strip of magnetic tape to the back of the key cut out. You may need to add more magnets if your keys are heavy.
