A gallery wall to display artwork or photos for your doll family. Includes 4 shapes in multiple sizes.
Decide on the shapes of frames that you want for your dollhouse and the range of sizes.
I wanted a variety so I made frames in square, rectangle, circle, and ovals. A 40-60mm size fits the scale of my dolls and house well. 10mm width makes a nice chunky frame.
Create the largest size of square at 60mm and round the corners. Use outline at -10 to do 3 inner squares. Do the same for the other shapes.
Set all lines to cut.
Copy all of the frames to a second canvas.
On that canvas separate the shapes so that none of them are overlapping. These will be for the 1mm acrylic to cut the “glass” for your gallery wall.
The very smallest of each shape will not be needed. You'll have 3 of each shape.
Sand and stain all of your frames. These can also be painted depending on the look you want. A gold frame could be really pretty here.
Glue the acrylic to the backs of the frames at the outside edges. This will create a “glass” layer to protect the pictures from getting dirty.
Use the frames as templates for the size of your pictures.
You can hand draw pictures, take pictures of the doll family and print those, or even use stock photos. Print any pictures out.
Glue the pictures to your frame at the outside edges.
Apply cut up command strips to the backs of your pictures for hanging. Determine your layout and then remove the backers and stick the photos to the walls. So cute!
