Chairs for the dollhouse dining room
Use your favorite box making program (I used makercase) to make a tabbed box with the dimensions set to the seat height, width, and depth. I created an open box (no lid) for this. Download the svg to your project.
Delete the bottom piece of the box as we won't need it.
Use the Vector Edit to adjust the tabs for the bottom to be decorative arches instead.
On one of the sides use the Vector Edit tool and move the top points of the back higher to make a seat back. Adjust in the edit tool to create some arches.
If created as a separate vector vs editing the back piece you will want to Combine/Unite those pieces now.
Create a rectangle that is a couple mm wider than you box for the seat and round the corners. This will be glued on top.
Cut the pieces from 3mm basswood. I used the default basswood settings.
It's easiest to stain all pieces prior to assembly as this will give you a more even finish.
Alternatively, you can also paint them or make a fabric cushion for the chair.
Test fit all pieces before adding glue to make sure it all fits together well.
Glue the 4 pieces of the base (including the back) together. Try to make sure that any extra glue squishes to the inside of the box where it won't be visible.
Any glue of choice can be used here. I used super glue.
Glue the seat of the chair on. Make sure that it's centered to your base.
Add it to your dollhouse and enjoy!
