Welding letters in Lightburn

Create your word. It helps to use a font with some "swish". Use "H space" to move your letters together until they barely overlap.

If you have some letters that don't move close enough, you can convert your text to a path and move those letters until they barely overlap.

Use Boolean Union to connect everything.
