Well it was a fuss before I made this stand for the Xtool magnet holders for the honeycomb, reason being is they are powerful and when they get close they snap together. So this keeps them hand and ready.
Step 1) This magnet stand starts off with creating a rectangle from the insert button, this rectangle was sized to accommodate the pack of 6 magnets that are in a pack. Once this was in the work area a second smaller square was created, this square was carefully measured to match the actual magnets on the holder itself.
Step 2) in this step the holes need are correctly sized and the array feature is used to create a row of 6 holes, these holes are needing to be 17mm apart which was easily done with the array settings.
Step 3) Now that the holes were created and sized it was time to group them so they would stay in the formation needed. to center the holes the alignment tool was used and the horizontal feature was chosen.
Step 4) This step the angled sides were created, this was done with the shape button and the triangle was used. the triangle was sized to match the height of the rectangle so when they were glued on they would both be inline from each other end to end. Obviously 2 of them are needed so it was copied and pasted to create the second one.
Step 5) In this step it was only right to add a name of sorts, so with the text button I created a name, in the edit box I spelt out the name and picked a font. Once I finished that I simply sized it to fit along the bottom of the stand and adjusted the settings for engraving.
Step 6) All of the other parts also needed adjustments and they were set to be cut, once all that was looked after it was off to the laser machine.
Step 7) Once the laser finished its job, the 2 angled parts we glued to each end to create an angled stand. After finding the perfect place for the stand the actual magnets were placed in the rack. This makes using these so much easier to manage. Enjoy.
