This is an easy way to hold your caliper on the wall. 95/312
The first part of the design is importing lots of rectangles, as they make up the whole design. Then I made one large rectangle; this will be the back of the holder.
Next, I created two smaller rectangles. One of these will be the arm, and the other one will be a hook for the end of the arm to prevent the caliper from falling off. I made sure that they were the size of the 3mm wood. Finally, I added two holes on the back so that I would be able to insert the arms into the base.
The material that I used was basswood because it glues so easily, but other materials like acrylic would work just as well. Just make sure to use the appropriate glue.
Now it's time to cut. This was a small piece, so I used a mostly used piece of basswood. Just make sure to wear your laser safety glasses and change the settings if you don't have an S1 40-watt or if you are using a different material.
Now it's time to glue. Both of the hooks fell through my honeycomb plate, so I had to find them. Then I rested my caliper holder on a small pair of cutters to let it dry.
Now you're done with your caliper holder. Good job.
