Create a festive 4th of July Firecracker for Independence Day Celebrations. This file has 2 back choices, one with a stake and the other without. Great for planter or tabletop decorations.
Paint the wood for this project. I used acrylic craft paint. You will need the following colors:
Red, White, Blue, and Silver.
Let the wood dry completely before cutting.
Bring the file into Creative Space. Decide on the backer, the one with or without the stake. Move the one you won't be using off the work area, that way the software will not recognize it when it comes to cutting. Another option is the turn off the vector output for the one you don't want.
All of these pieces will be assigned cut. I'm using 3mm basswood.
Secure the wood to the honeycomb and send to the laser for cutting.
Save the stars from the Blue piece, you can use them for decoration later.
Apply glue to the back of the blue, red, and silver pieces and secure them to the base. I saved one of the stars from the cut out and placed it on top of the silver piece, this is optional.
If you like the planter shown it's a free project file and makes a wonderful centerpiece for the 4th of July Holiday.
