The screen saver in your home office also annoys you. You just go to the coffee machine, it's activated and your admin blocks the settings. Use this little turntable machine.
You need at least a transmission/gear motor with max 20 RPM, a USB cable and the M3 screws, nuts, standoffs.
Measure the sensor position of your device.
The settings are for a sensor position of 50mm +-10mm from the front edge.
If the sensor is outside this range, you must move the motor mount, the turntable and possibly the hole for the connector accordingly.
The settings are for 2mm MDF, cut with air assistant. If you have other material, use your own settings.
First install the motor and the cable into the left panel.
Countersink the hole in the turntable until the screw head is flush.
Install the small cut-out washer between the motor and the turntable.
Mount the right plate onto the left plate using the 10mm standoffs.
Plug the USB into your computer and check if the motor is running.
Place your device on top.
No more screen savers.
