This design is inspired by the classic six colours Apple logo and is made from six different kinds of wood. The apple logo should only be used for personal use and should not be sold or used for any commercial purposes without permission from the copyright holder.
This design requires 6 different colours of material to create the stripes inspired by the classic apple logo. I only had 5 types of wood available at the time of making this logo so I used 2 pieces of birch plywood with different grain patterns for the fourth and sixth stripes.
Each of the stripes in the file is set to a different layer colour to make it easy to adjust the setting for each materiel.
The black layer is a template I made to help align all the parts together when glueing, this can be deleted or set to ignore if it if not needed.
I used the templet mentioned above to perfectly align the 6 parts and used a fast setting super glue to stick all of the joins from the back.
Be extra careful not to use too much glue as this will run thought the joints and could be visible from the front when complete.
I used a clear beeswax on all of the wood to to give a smooth shiny finish to the surface and bring out the grain of the wood.
I also added some magnets to the back of the apple and the leaf to mount it to some shelf brackets on my wall.
