With the new Emboss AI, you are able to make your own depth maps to create custom relief engravings with xTool AI.

Step1: Design 1
You will need to go into the AI, which is on the left side of XCS. Then you will need to select the correct AI. For the first part, you will want Laser Art.
Step2: Design 2
Now you will want to select Line Art as the style and then import what you want to engrave. For me, this was a dog. After it is done being made, you will want to download it to your computer.
Step3: Design 3
Now you will want to import your image into Emboss and wait for the AI to make it 3D. After it does, you will want to import it into your canvas. After importing it, I made a 0 mm outline and set it to cut.
Step4: Material
For this, I used basswood, but the piece that I used was rather cheap. I would recommend using a more premium material so that you can get a good engraving.
Step5: Laser time
This is for an S1 40-watt machine. Be warned that you will want to change the settings for your machine and experiment with more or less power. Just be careful with having too high of a power, and don't forget your laser safety glasses.
Step6: You're Done
Now you're done with your engraving, but you can make more in different styles. Make sure that you share them with xTool Projects. You can even get more points by sharing :)
