I used this geometric dragon design to make a unique bookmark with glassy black acrylic. I have also included the original dragon image in the file that can be used for other projects.
This file contains the complete bookmark design as well as the original dragon image, so you can use it for other projects too.
If you want to make a different size or shape bookmark, use the outline feature to make a vector copy of the dragon image then combine it with other shapes to make your perfect bookmark.
You could also engrave a name or message if this bookmark is intended as a gift.
The bookmark pictured is made from 3mm black acrylic and was cut using the xTool D1 Pro 5w.
This design can be made from any material such as plywood, acrylic, leather, or any other material you have available. Just remember, the cutting settings will need to be adjusted for other materials.
The materials library and easy set panel in XCS will help you find the best settings if you are working with new materials.
I used a quite slow engrave speed of 65mm/s to achieve a light grey colour that contrasts well with the glossy black acrylic.
Feel free to experiment with different settings to achieve your desired engraving finish.
