I love my xTool inline fan, but I didn't want to put a hole in my wall or in my desk to hold it, so I made this holder that I can put a command strip on the bottom of. 77/312
First, I measured the size of the controller and then imported it into XCS. Then, I added a border around it using the edit node function.
Next, I subtracted the size of the controller and made a base that was the same size. Finally, I created a hole for the cord. I also duplicated the layer to add some height to the holder.
For this, I used an old piece of basswood as it is only serving a functional purpose, but I would stay away from materials that are hard to glue.
Now it's time to laser. Make sure that your settings match your machine and material. Also, don't forget your laser safety glasses.
For this, you want to just glue the pieces together and let them dry completely. I would also recommend adding a command strip to the bottom so you don't ruin your table.
Good news! You're done and won't have your fan controller fall on the ground again or ruin your walls or table.
